It depends on how old the child is and what are his or her special needs, and on the age and qualifications and experience of whom is giving the service. For example, if the child is very young with many needs but the daycaregiver is well qualified and experienced (not a teen), I'd say 30 USD a day.

It varies from place to place. Where I live 10-12 dollars per day is reasonable but if the family has more than one child then a discount is sometimes offered. Like 18-20 for 2 children or 25 for three children. Some people also charge an hourly rate of around $2.00 an hour.

A reasonable price for in home daycare for an infant is $195 per week. For a toddler, it is $175. A toilet trained child should be $150 per week. For after school care, $50 to $85 is reasonable, depending on whether the care giver is also picking them up.

In home daycare should be priced similar to day care centers in your area, for example if your area averages $300.00 a week, then you should be $275.
