It really depends on the size and if you are doing it yourself or not. TO do it yourself you can build a small deck for 3-500 dollars. A contractor will normally cost you about 3 to 5 times what you can do it yourself for so around 1000 to 2500 dollars for a simple deck.

Depends on what kind of wood how small it is. diy would be cheapest way price's would vary from $1000-$3000 according to quality of material and size and can reach up to or Exceed $5000.you could do a simple 5x5 for around $500 diy or $750-$800 for a contractor. over all price range is from $500-$1500.
