Ginger usually refers to the orangy shade of their coat. They may or may not have white striping. Morris the Cat was a Ginger sort of cat. If there is more white than orange it's likely called a calico, more black would make it a tortoiseshell.

These kittens are adorable! The best description would be that a ginger cat is more or less an orange tabby. These cats usually have a lot of white fur on their belly and white paws. Their faces are just like the gray tabby only orange. They don't need any special care.
