What is a good ab workout machine?

I need to tone my mid section, reduce the fat around my waist and back area without causing back pain or injury.

Most people do not realize that cardio is the single best exercise to develop your abs. Even people with very high amounts of bodyfat can have very well developed abs. However, the abs are covered with layers of fat. It is impossible to lose fat on only particular parts of your body. Cardio will help lose fat!

You can not pin point fat reduce. (workingout your abs will not get rid of the fat around them) Do alot of cardio and you will start to see your abs. If you still wana do abs I would say to do the machines where you are siting down and crunch.

While improving your ab muscles can be helpful, this is a common misconception. Doing cardio exercises will do more help to you than an ab machine ever will. Try it.

You can't spot reduce, so reducing the fat around your waist is not a matter of getting a good ab machine. Cardio machines (such as elliptical machines or bicycles) and a calorie reduced diet will help your body burn away your excess fat. To strengthen your abs, do weighted sit-ups.

I would recommend getting a membership at a gym. Most gyms have "ab machines" in them made by varies different companies and is usually labeled "ab machine". The other reason I recommend getting a gym membership is because you cant spot reduce fat. Meaning you cant just do ab exercise and expect to see you abs. You need cardio too!
