No. A DVD is classified by some things, like one side or two, one layer or two. A DVD 5 is a standard one layer, one side DVD with 4.7gb

DVD5 is what most would consider a conventional DVD, it is a single sided, single layer DVD format that can hold roughly 4.4GB of data.
