A DVD buffer is a mechanism in the dvd players that speeds up or slows down speed to be able to read what dvd is being played and making sure it is playing. The dvd buffer is important in begining the dvd it reads and is able to move the dvd forward.

A DVD buffer is used to clean the DVD'S. It removes scratches and dust that may have accumulated overtime. You can either buff the DVD'S by hand or buy a motorized one that will clean your disks. The other buffer is when a cd is buring to a computer and is protected when this process is occuring.
