The Compaq LTE was one of the first laptop computers introduced by Compaq. These were introduced way back in 1989. One of the first models were the Compaq LTE and Compaq LTE 286.

This line of laptop computers by Compaq, was introduced to the public in 1989. The LTE and LTE 286 were some of the first computers that were about the size of a paper notebook and started the use of the term 'notebook' to describe smaller laptops.
