There is a "Barbie Pet Doctor Doll" who is a veterinarian Barbie. However, there is also a line of plush dog toys who are advertised as needing loving, caring homes. They are not Barbies, but they are sold as part of the Barbie line of toys.

The Barbie Pet Doctor would also be known at the Barbie veterinarian. I'm not sure why the name is different, if only to fit the times or to make a simpler comprehension for younger girls.
