What is "3-d architecture"?

Isn't all architecture in 3-d?

I think that when someone talks about 3-d architecture they are referring to the architecture models and not the actual architecture itself. Like 3 D dioramas and demonstrations, not actual buildings because they're all in 3 D.

3d architecture is used when you want a group to be able to visualize your drawing. In this case someone would use autocad, 3ds max, blender, etc to make the building come alive. This will give everyone a 3d representation of the object.
