What information needs to be on a tax invoice for it to be effective?

I have several invoices from business that I want to use for tax purposes and I am concerned that they are not valid.

You need the date, amount and tax purpose of the expense. You must also prove you actually paid the invoice. For a tax credit, invoice should state the credit applies.

A few things you should know before attempting any legal action. You should consult a lawyer and make sure you're knowledgeable about the laws and statues in your area. Cheers!

Your invoice needs to include date, what was purchased, who you purchased the item from, and the price. If those conditions cannot be met, then, date, price, item will work.
