What height is required for professional basketball?

It looks like everybody in the NBA is pretty tall.

There isnt any required high to be a professional basketball player. There have been guys from 5'5' to 7'6' playing as pros. To be a part of the nba it depends on your skill level and basketball IQ as well as the intangables that you bringt to the court such as offense rebound, great court vision or sportsmanship.

Although it is true that many NBA players are taller than average humans, there is no required height to play professional basketball. The average height for an NBA player in 2006-2007 was 6 feet 7 inches tall.

While there is no requirement per se, height offers a distinct advantage in the game of basketball. Mugsy Bogues was a fairly succesful basketball player, despite being barely over five feet tall.

There is no required height, although being tall is obviously an advantage. The shortest player to play in the NBA was Spud Webb, who was five feet, six inches tall.
