What have been some customer complaints for the Akai TV?

One major complaint about the Akai TV is the customer service itself. Consumers report the representatives did not help at all. a large number of people experienced problems with the power supply. They are known to die easily, normally within the first year. Others were disappointed with the picture quality.

People have been complaining that in different models of the Akai TV they will turn it on and have sound that is clear but no picture on the screen. None of the troubleshooting works and they can't get any help from the manuf.

Many complaints including no access to functions via remote, difficulty turning the unit on, the picture remains black but the light of the t.v. is on. It costs a lot of money and when asked why it won't turn on, the company says there is a manufacturing defect, and there is a back order of switches.

Problem 1:When the power on the TV in the morning, Audio is muted for some minutes. After some minutes audio is heard but with lot of disturbances. Video is working fine. Problem 2: When I was watching the movie, TV automatically powered off. After that I tried to power on the TV, but power on never works.
