You're all wrong. According to the Poison Control Center, mercury in its pure form, ex: from a thermometer or a sphygmomanometer (say it ten times fast), will not be absorbed in any appreciable form by your digestive system. In most cases it will pass through your system harmlessly.
i know i tried it once add a comment
My niece, who has Down's Syndrome, broke the thermometer in her mouth while having chills 5 days ago. She swallowed the "mercury". The poison control center told my sister "no problem". Was diagnosed with kidney inf. the next day. OK now. add a comment
