Aaliyah was killed in a plane crash on August 25, 2001. She was only 22 years old. She was born in Brooklyn, New York and is best known for her career as a singer.

Aaliyah died tragically at age 22 in a plane crash on 8/25/2009. She was recording a video in the Bahamas. After completing the job, she and her crew loaded all their equipment on board to return to the US. The plane was overloaded and crashed soon after takeoff. Everyone on board died.
