WPBSA is an acronym for the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association. You are probably familiar with billiards as being "pool", a game played with cue ball, sticks and a variety of balls on a felted table with pockets. Snooker is very similar, but the balls have different point values rather than just being assigned "stripes" or "solids".
