What does upper right quadrant pain mean regarding my pregnancy?

Pain in the upper right quadrant pain can always mean a problem with your liver or pancreas. You could also be extremely constipated, which is more common during pregnancy. If you are far enough along in your pregnancy, then it could just be your baby pressing up against your ribs on the right side.

My best guess would be that you have gas. There are other things that could be causing the pain and your health provider is your best source. Good Luck!

Right upper quadrant pain during a pregnancy can be a symptom of a liver issue in severe cases. Milder, more common scenarios are usually indicitive of a muscular strain. A pregnant woman has a lot of extra weight to carry around when carrying a baby, so muscle strains are fairly common.

Pain in the upper right quadrant can mean abnormal levels of liver enzymes indicative of pre-eclampsia, HELLP syndrome or AFLP.

I had an issue like this when I was pregnant. It just means you're having pains in your upper ribs on the right side. It could mean gas or that you're haveing gallbladder issues. Perhaps a stone? Your doctor will most likely want you to have an ultrasound.

In early pregnancy it can mean ruptured ectopic pregnancy, septic abortion, uterine and ovarian torsion and acute urinary retention while in late pregnancy it can mean red degeneration of myoma,torsion of myoma peduncle, placental abruption, uterine rupture HELLP syndrome and chorioamnionitis. Besides these many other conditions like pancreatitis, appendictis, pyelonephritis, intussusception, crohn's disease etc can cause this pain.

You have a life growing in your own body. It is common to have all kinds of pains when you are pregnant. The growing baby can put presure on your organ which can cause this pain. If to bothersome see you family doctor.

Women are at increased risk of cholecystitis and gallstones during pregnancy, due to the effects of the preganacy hormones. Also need to make sure it is not hepatitis or an ulcer. However, there are many benign causes of right upper quadrant pain.

I believe it to mean that your baby is in that part and it is putting a lot of pressure on you. You can try pressing on the baby to get it to move.
