Your hard drive might not be connected with a connector of the right number of pins. Otherwise, you may be using unusual boot settings, try using the "Fail-safe" or other default boot settings in BIOS. Failing either of these causes, your file system is damaged and you need to use the recovery console. Beyond that, replace hard drive.

This error is most commonly caused by a file system error where the File Allocation Table has been damaged or corrupted and the computer is unable to mount (read) the volume.
