It is also called "Insulin Resistance". It is a group of conditions that put you at risk for heart disease and diabetes. These conditions are high blood pressure, high blood sugar, high blood triglycerides, low levels of good cholesterol (HDL) in the blood, and some studies say, too much fat on the waist.

Most of us want to lose a few extra pounds. There are some of us that seem to shed weight with no more than simply watching what they eat, while others struggle with diet and exercise and still no success. Being metabolically resistant simply means that your body does not metabolize calories as quickly as others do.
