What does it mean when your lower back cracks?

Answer by  mammakat (11147)

As with me, it may just mean you're 50, or pushing it, sorry! Seriously, if you have no pain, or other symptoms, you are probably OK. If you work a lot at a desk, and conversely, if you work out a lot, your body may just be re-adjusting. If you have other issues, particularly pain, see an orthopedist now.

Sitting crookedly or on one leg, or sleeping scrunched can throw your back out of wack. When your lower back cracks, it's your body's way of putting your spinal discs & spine back in their correct positions.

it means that you are lifting alot of wait to the point of tention in your back. It also means that later in life you will have back problems.
