You may have inaccurate Pap smear results due to inflammation in the region where the doctor normally collects a sample during the exam.

Red blood cells means they are in the way making it hard to get a result. Inflammation is irritation of the cervix. Inflammation will be okay by itself or your physician may prescribe some antibiotics for you. Getting these results does not mean that there is anything wrong. They will need to due further testing to get the full results.
