What does it mean when blood in urine causes pain in a woman?

That could be that you have a UTI. You also could have cysts in your ovaries, and other parts of the reproduction system. You should probably go to a doctor and have them check you out to make sure you are ok.

Nonmenstrual blood in the urine can often be related to problems with the kidneys, or a serious urinary tract infection. If you are bleeding and in pain, this is not the time for you to play around with home remedies. Make an appointment with your doctor for an exam as soon as you can.

It most likely means that the woman has a urinary tract infection and should go see her doctor right away.
