What does it mean to be an American?

To me being an american is being legally born within the United States of America. Supporting the military and other members who help provide your rights as a citizen is also part of being an American.

To me being a American is being in a country where you have the opportunity to do almost anything with your life.

Being an American it a matter of choice. It's accepting the freedoms granted by the Constitution and to give those same freedoms to all citizens of our country.
