Colonial style furniture is usually made of maple or other hardwoods, and has turned legs and curved lines with simple ornamentation. Often the upholstery will be tweed.

It has an old-fashioned handcraft feel to it. It appears as if completely made of wood, is colored as such, and usually doesn't have cloth unless it's a bed.
