Alternate Current/Direct Current: This means you can power the device from different types of power supplies. The usage is obsolete, as AC power is currently the norm. The term has also been used as slang for a bisexual person (i. e. , a bisexual can get a charge from two different sources). The rock band AC/DC was named after the electrical term.

When the current flows through a medium, this is through a wire, it can be differentiated by two phenomena. These are AC and DC which means Alternate current and Direct current. We cannot use alternate current always. we can transfer AC current into DC current by means of some equipments. AC and DC current works in different situation.
