Tell him that when he realises that he is read for a relationship you will be too busy to talk with him. Do not allow a guy to jerk you around like that, there are too many decent men out there that will treat you like you deserve to be treated to put up with something like that.

If you yourself want a relationship, say "thanks! " It's little use chasing someone who's either unclear in his motives or playing games. Thank him for being honest, and move on.
