The reservoir should contain the same coolant that your vehicle has in its radiator. There are special coolants so it is best to check with the vehicle manufacturer's guide.
Water and anti-freeze. The directions are usually on the back of the anti-freeze bottle. Be very careful of spills as this can be poisonous to animals.
