There are a few potential uses for old audio components. If the item is still in working condition and you don't want it, consider selling it on ebay, at a garage sale, or donate it to charity. If the item doesn't work, it may be able to be recycled. Check your local telephone directory for area recycling centers.

Donate them to your local thrift store. Not only will you receive a small tax deduction but you will be helping the store as well. Many hobbyists frequent thrift stores for old parts or equipment that they can either repair or use for parts to fix other pieces of equipment.

For old audio components, I will take them apart. And I will try to find what I can deal with them. Maybe some parts are still useful.
