What do you do about a vent oil leak?

Well, how bad is the leak. Check the oil cooler seal and see how badly the leak is affecting the engine. I would go to a local garage and get them to replace the part. You will look at about 200-300 in damage, but its better to be safe when driving.

check to see if the vent cap is loose. also, check to see if the crankcase has backpressure in it.

lubricate engine parts as they cause a lot of friction and irreparable damage to the most expensive parts of your vehicle. The sooner the leak is repaired the better.

check to see if you have too much oil in the engine. also check to see if the engine is breathing.

Before even thinking that it is an leak i would first check somthing on it its a black J shaped tube on the nipple that comes out of the trans top cover or trans case check there before assuming anything
