Turtle's eyes are a black color, and they often look mean when you look at them, as though the turtle is glaring at you!

they look like normal eyes, just a whole lot smaller, you might notice a clear membrane flick across the eye as they blink, and open and close their eye lids.

A turtles head and eyes look very similar to a snake as they too are a reptile. If you are looking at a sleeping turtle they sleep with their head tucked around their shell and they eyes closed.
