To help your hamsters get used to the newcomer, put the dwarf into a temporary cage. Place it right next to the established cage so they can get acquainted.

Sometimes it is possible to introduce a young hamster to an older one if a cage mate has passed. Introductions should be done in a neutral area, e.g. outside the cage with close supervision, the cage must be completely cleaned out so that there are no scent traces left and use of a cage divider is a good idea until you are confident that they are getting along.
