You need to evalute the time it will take to care for a dog that typically has allergy and joint issues. Many owners have spent a lot in vet bills.

Your neighbors. Miniature Schnauzers are wonderful pets if you do not have close neighbors. They are very vocal animals though and so they will tell you hello, I'm hungry, I need to go out, and anything else. I have 2, love them, but glad I live in the country.

Miniature schnauzers are alert, fun-loving, and obedient dogs. However, they do require good training when they are young, or they will be hard to control in later years. Also, they are very energetic, and need either a place where they can release their energy, or receive alot of attention.

I would be worried about them getting along with your other dogs. Some dogs are good with other pets but some aren't. Also make sure that they are good with your kids and teach your kids that sometimes if you mess with the dog you might get snipped at.

The schnauzer is a very intelligent dog who is eager to please and they are very socialized. However, this dog likes to bark and their hair sheds very easily. It is recommended that people with allergies shouldn't have these dogs. The dog is very energetic and will need a lot of exercise.

This is a good family dog, and good with children, needs to know that you're the boss. Needs exercise and to be involved and interested. Trains very well.

Well, one thing to consider is that if a dog breed has the word "miniature" in it, that means it's going to bark a lot. Also, miniature schnauzers need to be had stripped every couple of months. Hand stripping is when you pull ot parts of the coat by hand. It doesn't hurt the dog. Otherwise, a good choice.

That you have enough time to spend caring for the dog and giving it attention. You also need to make sure your finances are in order.

The biggest thing you need to consider is the amount of time you have to spend with the dog. They are very people oriented animal and they require a great deal of time from the owner. If you don't have a lot of time and love to get it then you might want to look at getting a different breed.

Any purebred dog is going to have certain diseases that they are prone to and shnauzers are prone to sensitive stomachs.
