To become a dentist you need to complete a Dentistry course, to get into one of these courses you will require college qualifications in sciences, maths and health studies. After completing a Dentistry course you will need to become licesenced.

You will need to graduate from college, then go to dental school and get licensed to practice dentistry. From there, you will either have to find a job working with an established dental practice or you can attempt to open your own practice. It will take a while to get there.

Obviously, someone who is working that close to their conscious patients, who are often fearful, need to be good at managing different personalities.
