What do I do if my VSC check engine light comes on in my 2001 Lexus?

Take it to a repair facility! There are quite a few trouble codes that can be related to that one light. Have it accuratly diagnosed because the amount you could spend on replacing parts to fix this could be way more expensive. If the vehicle has had recent body work done it may be eronious and needing to be cleared.

The first thing you can do is to look in the owner's manual for possible problems in the check engine light section. You can also take the vehicle to a professional service center and have the 2001 Lexus placed on a diagnostics computer to troubleshoot the engine.

The VSC check engine indicator is made to tell you that your vehicle stability control, The light is only suppose to come on when the vehicles about to slip but if it is staying on I would contact your Lexus dealer

You take the car either to your garage or to the dealership so it can be put on a computer and they will be able to tell you if it is beiong caused by a mechanical problem or a computer problem.
