Brazilians today follow the universal fashion styles from brand name clothes to more casual jeans and T.shirts. However, more traditional Brazilian dress has a Portugese origin and influence. Examples include the "Bombachas" or baggy cotton pants or the Baiana dress whose name comes from the Bahia region of Brazil. This dress has colorful embroidery and a long round ankle-length skirt.
