What could the problem be if my powerbook q4 will not start?

If it's not starting it's not getting power. Is the AC Adapter hooked up? Can you verify on another powerbook that the ac adapter is good? Sometimes they get shorted out and need to be replaced. If it's good, try to take the battery out for a minute or two and put it back in.

Most likely it will be a power issue. I would check your battery and wall connections before looking into other problems.

If your powerbook will not start, that means that there could be several factors as to why this is happening. One reason could be that you have a dead battery, and assuming that it is not plugged ub could contribute to that issue.

There are many things that can cause this. One is a faulty hard drive, which results in the operating system not being able to be loaded. The problem may also come from other faulty hardware.

If you have performed a recent hardware change that could be the problem other wise it is either the inbuilt supply or the power pack that has died. It is most likely that you will just need a new power pack

Try pulling out the battery and pressing the power button until there are no lights on it. then, put the battery back in, plug it in and press power.

the are multiple issues that could cause this but the most common problems are the power supply in the computer ot that the other board has failed. Also if the battery is bad and it isnot connected to the power supply
