Depending on what color spots you have. Could be hand foot mouth disease. Could be early symptoms of strep throat.

Numerous conditions cause spots on someone's tongue. White spots could indicate a yeast infection A strawberry tongue is caused by lack of certain B vitamins or worse yet, Scarlett fever. You could have also bit your tongue during sleeping or may be developing or have cancer sores. Oral cancer is rare but possible.

Most likely you just inflicted pain on it in some way. It could have been burnt or you bit it somehow.
