What could cause a vibration in my Cadillac?

I have a vibration in my Cadillac.

One of the causes of Cadillac to vibrate is the broken belts,because it is connected the balance of the wheel. If it vibrates on the steering wheel, it surely a front wheels. If on the seat, it suggests a rear tire. It also caused by some mechanical defects such as bad ball joints, lost wheel weight or sticking brakes.

There are several possibilities on a vehicle that can cause vibrations but without knowing more it would be hard to diagnose. Vibrations from the front could be the cause of engine or suspension while the middle could be transmission. The rear could be from rear axle and suspension.

You need to check specific areas like the front end wheel alignment and have the wheels balanced. Any out of balance of any of these points can fix a vibration when driving. Another specific area to check is the drive shaft balance. This could be unbalanced and can have the same effect.

Most common causes of vibration while driving come from tires being out of balance. If the vibration is felt at stops the engine or pulley's may be to blame.
