What could be wrong with my 2.3L Ford inboard motor?

The motor runs well, but the running does not convert to speed on water. What can I do?

There could be something wrong with your engine's driveshaft, or the problem could be as simple as a worn or damaged propeller. If you can't conclude the problem is the propeller, your engine needs to see a mechanic. Unless you feel comfortable with preforming extensive engine maintenance, you should have a professional perform the work.

If the engine is running well but it's not converting to power on the water, then you have a problem with the prop. Either the prop is not spinning or it is not calibrated correctly. This can be hard to troubleshoot by yourself, so you should probably just buy and install a new prop. They're cheap and easy to install.
