What could be the cause of a discolored skin patch on my neck and back?

I have had these patches about 2 weeks and don't know what caused them.

Several causes may be to blame for skin discoloration. The first one is blood vessel changes. A foreign growth on the skin can discolor skin or a change in your body's production of melanin.Skin patch discoloration could also be a symptom of a medical condition. If they worry you, get your doctor's opinion.

One disease that I can think of that causes discoloration of the skin is Vitaligo. My family members have been diagnosed with this, and it is nothing serious. This is the disease that Michael Jackson supposedly had.

Are you maybe using some kind of a perfume or a deodorant that contains alcohol? On contact with sun it tends to whiten out the areas where it's sprayed. It could be eczema too..I think the smartest thing to do is to visit a dermatologist just to be on the safe side.

It may be from the sun, causing an uneven tan. It could be a stretch mark if you had gained weight or grown recently.
