The switch in your power locks can be faulty. Sometimes the connection can come loose inside the device, causing you to hit the buttons several just to unlock it. Replacing the power lock switch should solve you problem.

The problem looks like the power lock IC has some problem in it. If it is a old one, then the peoblem lies in the IC of the power lock or the remote sensor of the power lock. It is advisory to check it in a service station before the problem goes serious.

If you still hear it trying to unlock during the times that it fails to unlock then it is that something is out of alignment in the power lock mechanism.

There could be a short in the locks. You might need to change the locking mecanizme on it. You can go get a manual for it to fix it yourself. Or you might need to take it in to have it looked at. Hope this helps answer your question. Best of luck to you.
