Angelfish are not very hardy like tetras, so there could be several factors. Water quality is an easy one. Angelfish like slightly acidic water, ph below 7. Also make sure the mineral content is good. Stress could also be a factor. They need a large tank with a good environment.

Sometimes the enviroment can play a role in causing stress to the fish. It could also be your water, try changing the brands of cleaners and chemicals. Putting to many fish or other decor items in the tank can cause unwanted stress and your fish can die or get sick.
