What could be causing a stabbing pain in my feet?

There is a chance you could have gout. Gout is caused by uric acid build up and can be treated with oral medications.

You could have a hairline fracture. The best thing to do is to go get an x-ray at the hospital to find out for sure.

If you have just purchase new shoes, it might not be correctly fitted. The pain can be caused by standing on hard surfaces for too long.

This type of pain could be caused by injury or diabetes. Look for any obvious injury. If you cannot find any see a doctor to find out.

It depends on where the stabbing pain is in your foot and what action you are doing when the pain occurs. If you tend to be more flat footed then arch footed, and the pain is a sharp pain that runs through the heel of your foot from front to back you may have plantar fasciitis.

Poor circulation, nerve pain, restless leg syndrome, there are various other things. Consider what you are doing and when the pain comes to get to the root of the problem.
