Bright colors will always be your hot, or positive wire, lighter colors your negative. And the ground wire is always black, most negatives will be black with a white line.

Without the year of your vehicle this in next to impossible. It would still be hard to find out if I knew the year anyway. Your best option is to pick up a quality repair manual. It should have wiring diagrams of all the stereo components. Then you can find where all the wires run to.

The normal color for these types of wires that are in your Suburban should be a green or brown type color.
