What causes shooting pains through my groin area?

A urinary tract infection is a common diagnosis in both men and women. It could also quite possibly be endometriosis or something releated to reproductive organs in women.

In men it can be due to a hernia, kidney stone, ot rnlarged lymph glands. It can also be cause by an injury.

If you have lifted something heavy just before the pain started it is most likely a hernia in the groin muscles.
