The most likely cause is a hormone imbalance. You could be starting menopause early. It would be best to schedule an appointment with your Dr. and have your hormones tested.

There are many possibilities. At your age periomenopausal syptoms would be rare but possible. More likely causes of hot and cold flashes would be thyroid disease or irregularities in blod sugar levels. Both hypo and hyperglycemia can cause these symptoms. It could also be causes by your environment, flucuating temperature and humidity levels.

Hot and cold flashes are signs of menopause. As you get older your hormones change as your cycle and fertility changes. When your hormones change the body goes through many changes which can be uncomfortable. There are certain foods you can eat or avoid to lessen the hot and cold flashes. Hormone therapy or natural products can also help.
