I suffer from eye twitching occasionally and found out from my optometrist that it is usually due to stress, looking at a computer monitor or video games for to long, or to much caffeine. All of these things or just one of them can contribute to eye twitching. Try to systematically take away these variables and you may reduce symptoms.

Twitching can be cause by various things, and while many are easily cared for, you should still consult your doctor. Potassium deficiency is the most common cause, try eating bananas or taking a supplement daily. Lack of sleep, nerve damage, caffeine, nervousness/anxiousness, stress, and malnutrition can also all cause twitches in the eyes and various other body parts.

Eye twitching I believe comes from tired exausted eyes. Your nerves or muscles in your eyes contracts which makes them twitch. They say that resting them for a few minutes will help the twitches.

The exact cause for the twitching is unknown, but the doctor I work for offten says it has to do with stress in our lives. Being tired, fatigued and believe it or not caffeine can contribute to it.
