What causes bad gas in the stomach?

Some food particles which contains carbohydrates remains in the colon undigested. Bacteria which present in the colon will react with these food materials and a process called fermentation takes place which is the important reason for being gas in the stomach. Having milk also accounts for the production of gas in the stomach.

Usually bad stomach gas is a result of certain foods. Beans, most vegetables and dairy products are well known for producing gas.

Bad gas in the stomach is most significantly caused by a diet high in acidic or difficult to digest foods. Foods such as red meat, tomatoes, and potatoes are examples of hard to digest foods. Other causes can be gastric ulcers, which can inflame tissue in the stomach, causing irritation and increased peristalis.

Bad gas in the stomach can be from swallowed air, stomach infection with a bacteria known as H. pylori, intake of gas producing foods such as broccoli or from constipation.

Bad gas in the stomach is caused by the indidgestion. It may also be due to over-stuffing the belly than what is normally needed by the body at a given time.

Bad gas has a couple of causes, but the major one is bacteria. Other causes can be that as we get older, we do not process our food as well as when we were younger. It may also have to do with the foods eaten in bad combinations.

The causes for bad gas inside the stomach is due to overeating and eating food which creates gas. The foods that create gas are Potato, Tapiyoka, Dal etc.
