Ulcers are technically caused by bacteria, but they are aggravated by stress, hot foods, stomach acid, and toxins like cigarette smokes. An ulcer in your throat could be anything from a scratch to a more serious condition. Lay off any of the irritants you can, and see a doctor.

Ulcer in your throat could be from your tonsils being inflamed. It could be just a virus which sometimes you get ulcers all in your mouth, nose and throat. Your tummy gets out of whack sometimes you get ulcers in your mouth. I would not worry unless it gets to be an every month thing.

An ulceration in the throat can be caused by frequent consumption of acidic foods or exposure to toxic chemical inhalation. These can be very serious if they lead to infection.
