What can you tell me about receiving a legal separation in the navy for adultery?

You should start with the legal aide department and you can have them put together a case for you to be able to get a divorce.

The couple can file for a legal separation per the laws of the state. Separation is not a military matter. If the adulterous party is in the USN, disciplinary action can be taken against him/her under Article 134, which prohibits conduct that brings discredit upon the armed forces. The UCMJ does not list adultery as an offense of any kind.
