I assume you are talking about making a chenille rag rug or blanket. If so, cut the chenille scraps into 2" strips. Sew the 2" strips end to end to make a long strip about 4 feet long for a rug and repeat twice more. Braid strips together and roll/fold into itself in a spiral motion, pinning down in spots.

Chenille is an excellent fabric for sensitive skin. To make rag chenille, you simply wash the fabric several times using a mild detergent that will not ruin the colors, then cut it to the desired size to sew it into whatever project you are working on.

The number of layers you will need to make your chenille depends on what your final project is. You will probably need 5-6 layers. Lay your first fabric face down and the rest face up. Stitch on the bias.
